PINDAYA

Pindaya village is situated about 41km (26miles) north of Aungban Township. The road to Pindaya takes you through a region of such great since beauty that it has become known as ‘Myanmar’s Switzerland ‘. In Pindaya village it is the Taungyo tribe, whose home sit in the hill above a small lake. In Pindaya cave, there are nearly 9000 Buddha images. No one seems to know why the countless Buddha images within the cave were kept here. Local handicrafts such as Shan Paper and Parasols made from mulberry bark can be seen. You can trek to hill tribes’ village from here.
